Creating a .csv (comma separated value) file from Microsoft Outlook 2003. This process may differ in other versions of Outlook but the principles remain the same. |

1.

Open "Outlook" from the file menu choose "Import and Export" select "Export to a file" and click next |

Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" then click the "Next" button |

Click on the "Yes" button if this dialog box appears |

Select the folder your Contacts are stored in and click on the "Next" button |

Type in "C:\Contacts.CSV" in the "Save exported file as:" text box |

Click on the "Finish" button and allow the process to complete. |

Open Windows explorer and locate "Contact.CSV" on your C drive. |

|
At this point you must open the file in "Microsoft Office Excel". Right click on the file and go to "Open with" choose Microsoft Office Excel from the list. |

Remove the columns you do not need. "First Name" and "Email Address" must be present. |

In "Microsoft Office Excel" choose File -> Save As |

Open the "Contacts.CSV" file in "Word Pad" and it should be in the format below. |

Open Mail Merge and navigate to "E-mail Import". Locate the "Contacts.CSV" file and click on the "..." button. Then click on import data. NB. if you have already imported any of the contact in the list they will not be added again. |
